New liquid crystal polymer
The new liquid crystal offers higher birefringence and lower retardation, allowing the liquid crystal to quickly twist and make room for light to pass through.
Optimization direction
The flow patterns of the new liquid crystals have been optimized for efficiency. In the past, the crystals were aligned parallel to the polarizer surface. The new arrangement allows the liquid crystals to rotate faster and have faster response times.
Dual layer voltage driver
Traditional displays use a single-layer voltage driver that turns the liquid crystal from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. The PG27AQN features a new dual-layer voltage driver that allows the LCD to rotate from the upper left and lower right corners simultaneously for smoother and more consistent images.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) and DisplayHDR™ 600
HDR technology supports the entire brightness range to provide a wider color range and higher contrast ratio than traditional monitors. The brightest whites and deepest blacks deliver rich detail like never before. In addition, it can reach a peak brightness of 600 nits, meeting the requirements of DisplayHDR™ 600 certification.
