ATEN International , a global leader in digital information sharing , has recently launched the 4K HDMI Cat 6 Extender – VE1821 , which includes a Transmitter ( VE1821T ) and a Receiver ( VE1821R ) that can be used together to easily convert expensive and short-lived HDMI signals. Switching to Cat 6 cable as the high-definition audio and video signal transmission medium not only significantly reduces costs, but also extends the 4K@30Hz HDMI signal to a distance of 40 meters . It is also equipped with EDID Switch and Copying mode , allowing the screen to be output at the most suitable resolution. It also supports one-way IR signal transmission , allowing users to remotely control HDMI devices connected to the transmitter . It is also equipped with Power over Cable (POC) technology, allowing the remote Receiver to operate without being plugged in. HDMI 4K picture output
VE1821 can output 4K HDMI (3840x2160) @ 40 meters , and supports HDCP 1.4 signals from different devices such as NVR , computers, set-top boxes, game consoles, etc. It is connected to the VE1821T transmitter (HDMI in) via an HDMI cable , and the signal is converted by Cat 6 / 5e line transmission (RJ45 Out) , and then use the VE1821R receiver to connect to a long-distance screen. Save on expensive cable costs , you only need to use economical and high-speed Cat 6 / 5e cables to connect long distances, and the installation and connections are easier to handle and control. Signal extends up to 40/30 meters
Only one Cat 6 network cable is needed to connect the transmitter ( VE1821T ) and the receiver ( VE1821R ) , which can extend the 4K HDMI signal to an HDMI display device 40 meters away . The VE1821 body is equipped with an EDID Switch . Users can manually switch the button to choose to obtain the EDID from the Tx or Rx connected display . Coupled with the EDID Copying Mode , the HDMI device can automatically recognize the EDID of the connected monitor , so that the picture can be output at the most suitable resolution.
Smart management of IR signal transceiver and remote HDMI equipment VE1821 supports one-way IR signal transmission . The solution is that due to the use ofHDMIextenders, the equipment needs to be placed away from the reach of ordinary people, such asplayers placed in computer rooms.
