- Document printing speed is based on single-sided printing and is the ESAT average in ISO/IEC 24734's Office Category Test, excluding the first set of printing time. Photo printing speed is calculated using high-gloss multi-purpose photo paper PP-201, driver default settings and based on ISO/JIS-SCID N2, excluding computer processing time. Printing speed will vary depending on system configuration, connection interface, software, document complexity, print mode, coverage, paper type, etc.
- The TWAIN driver (ScanGear) is based on TWAIN specification version 1.9 and requires the operating system's built-in data source manager.
- Optical scanning resolution is only available with the TWAIN driver. Optical resolution measures the maximum sampling resolution according to the ISO14473 standard.
- The photocopying speed is the average of sFCOT and sESAT, tested according to ISO/IEC 29183 (excluding warm-up time). Photocopying speed will vary depending on document complexity, print mode, coverage, paper type, etc.
- Black and white document fax fax speed is tested based on default settings and ITU-T No.1 chart. Color fax speed is tested based on default settings and Canon color test charts. Transmission speed will vary depending on document complexity, fax settings, recipient and line environment.

Pre-purchase information
- In order to ensure the performance of the printer, the printer will automatically clean according to different conditions. A small amount of ink is consumed when the printer performs automatic cleaning, so all color inks may be consumed. Cleaning the inkjet head helps the printer suck air bubbles or ink from the inkjet head to prevent print quality degradation or inkjet head clogging.
- The warranty period for printer repair parts is 5 years after the product is discontinued. During maintenance, our company may have the opportunity to replace the printer with a new one or one with equivalent performance. In this case, you may not be able to use old consumables or accessories or may need to switch to another operating system.
- To ensure printing quality, please use the ink within 6 months after opening.
- Depending on different devices such as computers, smartphones or their device systems, the ink data or information displayed on the device screen may be different from that displayed by the printer. In addition, some ink information displayed on the printer may not be displayed or may be displayed on the device at different times. Please refer to the information displayed on the printer. Please note: All data and information displayed are for reference only
- Depending on the printing paper or printing settings, the printer may also use colored ink when printing black and white documents. When any color ink is used up it needs to be replaced.
- When you initially set up your printer, a certain amount of ink is used to fill the printhead's nozzles with ink. Therefore, the print yield of the first set of ink bottles will be lower than the print yield of subsequent sets of ink bottles.
- Printing costs in product brochures or on the website are based on ink consumption data for subsequently installed ink tanks, not the initial ink tanks.
- For maintenance details, please contact your Canon sales representative. During the maintenance period, maintenance only covers the printer body and does not include consumables such as printing paper and ink.
- Ink bottles usually only fit printers sold in the same region. Ink bottles may have unique labels or configurations that may not be compatible with printers sold in other regions. To ensure optimal performance of your printer, please consult your local Canon office or authorized Canon dealer before moving the printer from the place of purchase
- Using non-original ink will affect printer performance and print quality. In some cases, although there are no safety issues, using non-original ink may cause the inkjet head to overheat and produce smoke.
- If the printer malfunctions due to the use of non-original ink, repair fees will be charged even within the warranty period.
- Depending on different devices such as computers, smartphones, or their device systems, the maintenance ink tank data or information displayed on the device screen may be different from that displayed on the printer. In addition, some maintenance ink tank information displayed on the printer may not be displayed or may be displayed on the device at different times. Please refer to the information displayed on the printer. Please note: All data and information displayed are for reference only.
- When using a printer, the maintenance ink tank recycles the ink produced by printing. When the maintenance cartridge is full, printing will stop to prevent the maintenance cartridge from leaking ink. Please replace it with a new maintenance cartridge. You need to purchase new maintenance cartridges in advance and replace them yourself according to the instructions.
