Preface

YUJIHW hasn’t unboxed and tested a CPU cooler for a long time. This time, thanks to the sponsorship of PROARTIST's Hong Kong agent MYLS-TEC, we received two of PROARTIST's latest 360MM AIO all-in-one CPU water cooling, including the entry-level black ECONOMIC AIO 5 (hereinafter referred to as EA5) and the high-end white GRATIFY AIO 5 (hereinafter referred to as GA5W). Both 360MM AIOs are equipped with 5V 3PIN ARGB fans, and the original factory provides a three-year warranty and water leakage compensation. In terms of price, PROARTIST is quite aggressive. EA5 is currently priced at $529HKD and GA5 WHITE is currently priced at $999HKD. This article will unbox and introduce these two PROARTIST 360MM AIOs. The relevant temperature testing will be detailed in the next article. YUJIHW thanks the Hong Kong agent MYLS-TEC and the original manufacturer PROARTIST for their trust and willingness to provide samples for unpacking introduction and testing.

introduction

In recent years, China's CPU radiator market has been booming. The new forces mainly come from local brands. It is hard to distinguish between new products and the 100-yuan (100RMB) radiator has become the best choice for a while. The AIO market has also begun to change, with many new models being launched one after another, including the VK AIO, which is quite famous in Hong Kong recently. It is understood that the brand PROARTIST started as an air-cooled tower disperser, and will switch to the AIO market in Q3~Q4 of 2022 and launch several AIO models. "5" and "3" mean 5=360MM and 3=240MM.

Yajun PROARTIST GA5 performed well in the Chinese media’s evaluation, and its performance is at the TIER 1 level, while there is not much information about the EA5. This time YUJIHW is honored to be the first to introduce EA5 in Hong Kong. The following is the unboxing content of GA5W and EA5, which introduces the conditions before power is turned on, excluding ARGB lighting effect display/cold head effect display.

PACKAGING

MYLS-TEC is original and comes with a three-year warranty.

Interestingly, when I type Yajun PROARTIST online, I can’t find its official website. The QR CODE on the upper right is a website ( WWW.PROARTIST.CN ), which also failed to connect successfully. It feels like there is a D flow...

Since there is no official website, we cannot find the relevant official product page. All specification information can only be based on the values printed on the EA5 GA5W box. Go up to GA5 and go down to EA5.

According to these specifications, we can see that the main differences between EA5 GA5W are the fan, bearing, speed and water pipe length. It is understood that there is a problem with the first version of the GA5(W) fan. Currently, the Hong Kong bank has GA5 V2 in stock. Another thing worth noting is that EA5 and GA5W only support LGA1200 (LGA115X) and LGA1700 as well as AM4 and AM5. They do not support X99/X299 and ancient LGA13XX and AM3+ platforms.

The EA5 fan has a wind pressure of 1.8MMH2O at 1850RPM, which is a bit too small.

5V ARGB FAN is one of the main selling points of EA5 and GA5W.

ACCESSORIES

The overall packaging and protection of Yajun PROARTIST AIO are very good. Even if it is just an EA5 with a price of more than 500 Hong Kong dollars, the look and feel is much better than the ASETEK cowhide box.

GA5W comes with an extra pair of white gloves, and the white synchronization is perfect. It seems that Yajun PROARTIST attaches great importance to consistency.

GA5W is nearly twice as expensive, so it is reasonable to have a more advanced manual. It is estimated from the date on the certificate that these two AIOs will be shipped from the factory in December 2022.

Both AIOs are also pre-installed with INTEL LGA1700 clips.

GA5W comes with AM4-specific CPU anti-pull-out bracket and AM5 thermal paste anti-spill bracket. I have the impression that the CPU anti-pull-out bracket is the first design of PROARTIST, which was first seen on its own air-cooling tower.

According to the EA5 manual, EA5 only comes with the AM4 anti-pull-out bracket, and the EA5 manual does not mention AM5 at all.

Another major difference between EA5 and GA5W in the buckle design is the bracket for fixing the water-cooling head. The water-cooling head bracket of GA5W adopts a screw-free fixing design similar to ASETEK, while the water-cooling head bracket of EA5 uses the common two metal brackets + screws. fixed. Left EA5 right GA5W.

GA5W’s original warranty terms. It is unknown whether the Hong Kong bank also needs to provide that "warranty card" when doing RMA.

The water-cooled body is surrounded by thick padding. We see the radiator fan pre-installed on the radiator. The buckle is packed in a cardboard box. There is a wire in the GA5W box that is placed on the water pipe but not inserted into the box.

There are four packages of parts in the GA5W fastener box. The two large bags are reusable dense bags containing INTEL and AMD buckles. The cold radiator screws and LGA1700/LGA1200 sleeves are put into the two small packages.

GA5W comes with a tube of its own thermal paste W15. The capacity is unknown because there is no sticker on the surface of the thermal paste tube to hide the true internal capacity. In comparison, many ASETEK AIOs pre-coat thermal paste on the copper bottom of the water block, and no additional thermal paste is provided. Many times, due to the storage environment of ASETEK water cooling, such as temperature changes and direct exposure of the thermal paste to the air, the thermal paste pre-applied on ASETEK AIO deteriorates (hardens), affecting the heat dissipation performance. Yajun PROARTIST's approach is even better, if the capacity is not stingy.

GA5W provides LGA1700/LGA1200 metal backplane, with the screws and washers required for LGA1700 pre-installed.

GA5W has AM4 and AM5 buckles, as well as AM4-specific CPU anti-pull-out bracket and AM5-specific mounting bracket. The cold head bracket of GA5W uses a screw-free collar design, and the four corners of the collar are equipped with anti-falling screws.

An overview of the EA5 buckles. The 3PIN ARGB extension cable and thermal paste have not disappeared, but the AM5 bracket is missing. Since EA5 uses another water-cooling head fixing bracket design, EA5 also has a pack of large Phillips screws in the accessory box to fix the water-cooling head to the base plate.

The difference between EA5 and GA5W on AM5.

EA5 does not come with this fan adapter cable. This is a one-to-three fan adapter, which is used to connect to the fan 4PIN and ARGB 3PIN on the base plate, and there is also an ARGB extension head.
